Board of Trustees

Large corporations, cultural and academic institutions and senior officials make up the Fundación’s governing body.

The Board of Trustees of the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. meets regularly four times a year. The basic purpose of these meetings is to deal with the matters requiring the consensus and approval of the Fundación’s governing body, such as the renewal, instatement or cessation of trustees, new appointments in representational positions, presentation of the previous year’s accounts and the approval of the action plan for the coming year.

The Board of Trustees also reviews and evaluates the programs and activities carried out since the previous meeting and reports on new programs and activities to be engaged in, informs and discusses initiatives and projects of interest and determines agenda items for discussion at the Spain – United States Forum, which are then agreed jointly with the United States Spain Council.
