1 October 2026
The Fundación Consejo España–EE. UU. held an exclusive session for its Board of Trustees on September 30 with David Wasserman, editor at The Cook Political Report and director of NBC News’ Decision Desk on election night.
During the session, Wasserman analyzed the U.S. midterm elections, to be held on November 3, and addressed some of the key issues shaping the elections, including control of the House of Representatives and the Senate and its political implications, the key races and states to watch, voting trends among Hispanic voters, and the impact of issues such as energy costs and data center projects.
The discussion also covered the electoral dynamics in states such as Texas and California, as well as the potential political landscape that may emerge after the elections and its implications for the 2028 presidential election.
The Foundation’s Board members also had the opportunity to engage directly with Wasserman and ask him their questions.
