Fulbright Scholars
We have showcased our main institutions of scientific excellence to U.S. Fulbright scholarship- holders doing postgraduate work in Spain.
The Foundation worked together with the Fulbright Commission in Spain from 2013 to 2017 to schedule technical visits for U.S. Fulbright scholarship-holders pursuing post-graduate scientific and technical study in Spain, to make them aware of Spain’s main institutions of scientific excellence and promote the exchange of knowledge and new opportunities for cooperation.
Throughout the five editions of the program, participants were introduced to a number of institutions pertaining to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), including the Margarita Salas Center for Biological Research (CIB), the Institute of General Organic Chemistry (IQOG), the Severo Ochoa Center for Molecular Biology (CBMSO), the Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL) and the Institute of Medical Chemistry (IQM), along with the Research Center for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT), the Ramon Areces Foundation and Pharmamar, the marine biotechnology company pertaining to the Zeltia group.
Here are the opinions of some of the participants in the program: Juan Carlos Durán (2013), Katherine Lee (2015), Erika Lampert (2015) y James A. Knight (2016).
