Mónica Otero

General Coordinator

Monica is a lawyer and economist with an international approach, expert in the management of “third sector” organizations. She holds a Master’s Degree in Management of Non-For-Profit Entities by UNED and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with a Major in Economy, by Deusto University. She also completed postgraduate studies in Executive Direction of Foundations at Comillas University.

She started her career as a corporate lawyer within the private sector but after a period working as a commercial advisor at the Spanish Embassy in Chile, she decides to focus on public diplomacy and starts serving the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. in 2006.

As its General Coordinator, Monica is responsible for the development of the Action Plans of the Fundación, overseeing the technical and financial follow up of the different programs. She organizes board members meetings, monitors institutional relations and manages staff, legal and economic matters.
