Néstor Báez Hernández
Head of Communications
Néstor holds a degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master’s degree in Agency Journalism.
Before joining the Fundación’s staff, he worked in the Communications team of Club de Madrid, the largest forum of former presidents and democratic prime ministers, collaborating closely with prominent figures such as Michelle Bachelet, Helen Clark or Rodríguez Zapatero. As a journalist, he has also worked in the newsrooms of several national and international media. He was part of the National section of Agencia EFE in Madrid, and of Society and Culture in the Barcelona delegation. Before that, he wrote news and reports for the digital newspaper elDiario.es and was part of the Cadena SER program ‘La Ventana’, with Carles Francino.
Originally from the Canary Islands, he moved to Madrid to carry out his studies and received the Talento Award for being one of the highest marks in the university entrance exam in 2015. He spent a year in Italy, studying at the Universitá per Stranieri di Perugia. He has also studied music from a young age, which has led him to play several instruments.
Since February 2025, he is in charge of leading the Communication of the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU.
