Olga Villegas Samudio

Head of Administration and Events

Olga holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Journalism with a Minor in Corporate Communication from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla (Colombia). After finishing her degree, she moved for a year and a half to Miami, USA, where she had previously completed an internship at the Hispanic TV network, Univision. She then moved to Madrid to study a postgraduate degree in Advertising and Public Relations, where she has lived for more than twenty years.

She began her professional career in this city working in Communication agencies, where she organized corporate events for Spanish and multinational companies for eight years. She later changed to the Higher Education sector at the Instituto Franklin from the Universidad de Alcalá, which focuses on research and teaching related to North American Studies and Bilingual Education.  There, apart from holding the positions of Coordinator of the Teach & Learn in Spain Master’s Program and Head of Accounting and Human Resources, she learned closely about the management of Study Abroad programs, as well as the academic and cultural aspects of North American universities and students.

As of September 2024, she joined the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU., holding the position of Head of Administration and Events. Her functions include the organization of institutional events and meetings, the design and execution of visitor programs, and the economic-accounting management of the entity on a daily basis.
