A space to discover the stories, photographs and personal testimonies behind the project, and explore the experiences of the thousands of Spaniards who crossed the Atlantic in search of a new life
The documentary shows the process of collecting testimonies and materials from the descendants of Spanish emigrants in the United States, whose memories have shaped the exhibition “Invisible Immigrants”
The exhibition revives the memory of Spanish migration to the U.S. between 1868 and 1945 through a selection of more than 300 images and objects from the home archives of the descendants of this diaspora
The city has embraced the exhibition, which opened on March 1 with a huge turnout and a program of events organized around it by the people of Tampa. It can be visited at the Tampa Bay History Center until August 3.
Tras su exitosa itinerancia en España, avalada por tres ciudades y más de 30.000 visitantes en total, el Centro de Historia de la Bahía de Tampa será la primera sede que acoja la muestra en Estados Unidos a partir de marzo de 2025.
La exposición ya se prepara para dar el salto a Estados Unidos, donde recalará en aquellos destinos en los que las colonias españolas mayoritariamente se asentaron y prosperaron.
El Museo de Arte de Almería – Espacio 2 es la tercera sede en España que acoge esta exposición itinerante, inaugurada con gran éxito el pasado 27 de abril
La exposición cápsula podrá visitarse hasta el 15 de septiembre en los jardines del Centro Cultural Municipal Casa de Piedra de Colombres
El encuentro permitió compartir la particular historia de la comunidad de almerienses asentados en el barrio neoyorkino de Brooklyn, también conocida como la ‘Alhama de Nueva York’
Tras su paso por Madrid y Asturias, la muestra itinerante recala en el Museo de Arte de Almería, donde podrá visitarse de forma gratuita hasta el 25 de junio
